Looking at the smartwatch Galaxy Watch Active, you would say that it is one of the best designed watches in the current smartwatches panorama. However, if I had to choose, I would not think twice with the minimalist appearance of the Galaxy Watch Active, despite the absence of a rotating bezel to navigate the system interface. The very first thing you notice is the missing rotating bezel. Galaxy Watch Active is 60 percent lighter and 20 percent smaller than the Galaxy Watch. Galaxy Watch Active OS is Tizen based with their own UI interface on top.
Even better than its design is its screen. It is a circular OLED Super panel of 1.1 inches, with a resolution of 360 x 360 pixels. Or what is the same: the same resolution as the Galaxy Watch on a smaller screen. The result of this panel is still magnificent as in the original model of the Galaxy Watch series, with bright colors and outstanding contrast, in addition to a maximum brightness level that exceeds that of any other smart watch that has been tested.
Tizen OS 4.0 runs very fluidly on the Active, which is powered by the same processor as the Galaxy Watch. As in the Galaxy Watch, this sports model has two physical buttons on its sides and do not have the rotating bezel mechanism to go through apps which is loved by many. The lower one acts as an on / off button for the clock and as a direct access to the home or application drawer, while the upper one that is protruding more from the watch case, allows to go backwards from wherever we are in smart watch menu with a somewhat firmer touch. You can also hold down the top button to start Samsung Pay and long-press the bottom key to turn the watch on or off. It is hard to navigate Galaxy Watch Active.
Health And Fitness Tracking
One of most successful and my favorite things about Samsung’s wearables is their Health app. I’ve found it to be smarter and more accurate than Fitbit at detecting when I’ve embarked on a brisk walk, when I ran or detecting the exact time, I fell asleep. On Galaxy watches, Health app offers many exercises that I can track.
Weight And Strap
The best thing about Active smartwatch is that, unless you look at it, you do not even realize you’re wearing it thanks to its weight of only 25 grams, combined with a soft silicone strap that, if it does not adapt to your doll, can be replaced either by a universal strap between 13 and 20 millimeters wide, or by one which Samsung includes next to the watch in its box, like the original but larger in diameter.

Galaxy Watch Active screen is perfect. 40 millimeters size will be suitable for those with thin wrists, but I’m sure many would prefer to choose a larger variant. In addition, around the panel we found a bezel of considerable size, which makes us think that perhaps Samsung could have introduced its rotary crown feature, or even bet on other solutions without having to modify the design as a touch bezel from which to control the interface in the same way that Misfit have introduced in their watches. Galaxy watch active is definitely a formidable smartwatch, one that you can buy and wear with confidence.
